NOTE:  Note this product is not compliant with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean due to their complete ban on power strips.

Perfect plug for cruise cabins – safe, compact, and well thought out

I took this on a recent cruise and it worked exactly as it should. What makes this “cruise-approved” is the fact that it has no surge protection, which is something cruise lines ban because surge protectors can interfere with their ship’s power management systems. This one’s been tested to meet the requirements of lines like P&O, Cunard, Marella, and Fred Olsen, so you won’t get it confiscated at boarding like you would with a regular surge-protected extension lead.It gives you two UK plug sockets, plus four USB ports—three USB-A and one USB-C—so charging phones, tablets, eReaders and watches was easy. The layout is sensible and there's enough spacing that you can use both sockets at the same time. It also has a built-in night light that gives off a soft glow, which helps in those pitch-black cruise cabins where finding the toilet light switch can be a guessing game. You can turn the light off if you don’t want it.It’s lightweight and compact, so it took up barely any room in my bag, and I liked that everything felt secure when plugged in.The only downside is that it would have been even more useful with an extra USB-C port instead of one of the older USB-As, but that’s nit-picking really, for what is a solid bit of kit that does exactly what you need it to do without getting you into trouble at security.

Cruise Control for Your Charging Chaos

The Anchors Up 7-in-1 extension lead is just the ticket when you're short on sockets, especially on cruises where plug space is as rare as a decent cuppa abroad. With three UK outlets and four USB ports, it keeps all your gadgets topped up without hogging room. It’s compact, lightweight and thankfully doesn’t have surge protection, so it plays nice with cruise regulations. It’s a tidy little unit that does the job with no fuss.

Power up as you cruise

Good UK adaptor. Has two 3 Pin UK sockets, one type-C and three standard USB sockets. Also has a nightlight. Says it is approved for use on multiple cruise companies, but works just a well as an extra set of sockets at home. Though may feel a bit pricey for that. Works for me to power my blink system and give a low light in hallway at night.

So compact with great number of connections

This little multi plug by Anchors up feels well made while still being lightweight and is very neat and compact. I’ve added a couple photos to show how well it works in a standard double socket at keeping the other socket clear. It’s marketed for cruise ships which I imagine it’s ideal, incorporating so much into one plug. 2 uk sockets, 3 usb ports, a usb C and even a little night light. The night light will be handy at a reachable position beside a bed because you just press the light itself to turn it on and off. This multi block works just as well in a uk floor level socket as well though, saving space and providing connections to use and charge multiple devices. The night light isn’t bright but at night it would certainly help light the floor a little. Its compact size would also make it good for taking on holiday where you don’t get a lot of sockets in a room.I have it plugged in my bedroom at the side of the bed now where I used to have a multi socket cube. This is so much neater with it not sticking out so far and I’ve saved a couple usb plugs by being able to connect straight to the Anchors Up multi plug. It sits flat and stable and if I want to see down the side of the bed to plug something else in, I have the night light. Overall, very happy.

Nice, somewhat compact design

Cruise Approved UK Extension Lead Multi-Plug:In designing this product they have leaned closer to the smaller side of things with regards to the outer casing. It looks small in comparison to other plugs and that becomes a benefit if you need to plug it in to a multi-plug wall socket because its smaller design means it doesn't get in the way of the adjacent plugsIt is built well, so I would assume the overall quality of the product is good.I thought the night light button was actually the power switch to activate the USB port sections but now I know better after giving the listing a better read.I can't speak on what the relevancy of 'cruise line requirements' are for this product because I have never been on one. I can only assume that that they have stricter requirements for things that are plugged in to their sockets.I have had the opportunity to have many similar looking plugs in the house but I avoided it because I didn't like how they looked and seemed to droop with the additional weight. This one is a nicer design and has stayed stable so I may pick up a few more to expand the the capabilities of some of my rooms. My plan for this is use the USB ports as direct power sources for LED trim lights that I will be putting around the house.
